The Infinite Corridor is MIT's main street, a hallway that stretches from Lobby 7 all the way to Building 8. Between Building 7 and 8, it connects Buildings 5, 11, 3, 10, 4, 12, and 6.
The Infinite Corridor is 251 meters long. Legend has it that it is impossible to trek all the way across the Infinite Corridor without passing another person.
Twice every year, sunlight will fill up the Infinite Corridor as it lines up with the plane of the ecliptic. This is known as "MIThenge." MIThenge occurs approximately 37 days on either side of the Winter Solstice. The viewing of MIThenge is a big event.
